XII&nbsp; &nbsp; Contemplated for a moment while slightly possessed by the desire to start gazing deeper into a painting taken from Saint Peter, where the painting was first exhibited, which is a masterpiece of the Italian painter "Caravaggio". It was very striking for him so that encouraged MFAXII to immediately assemble personal perception about the masterpiece and put it in his work because it gave the same notion but with a different incarnation. From his point of view, MFAXII is depicted as a physical form that possessing a companion figure in the form of an undead creature who is ensnaring a snake's head. &nbsp;In his perspective, the creature represents a protective embodiment (offering) from the immortal universe, while the snake is a symbol of disastrous aspects, a manifestation that has contaminating poison, a sinful entanglement, a taboo and dangerous figure that is always terrorizing since the beginning of its eleventh year. As seen from the other side, is a mysterious figure wearing a cape and hood that disguises his face, who always gives his faith through invocation in the hope of preserving and accompanying all virtue and eliminating all threats from the snake figure. The image of a human being is reincarnation from the perspective of someone reborn after going through a decade full of remorse. Along with the process of being reborn, he immediately commences his first steps by crawling, and as time goes by, he hopes that the missteps and dark times will never be recounted. Each individual inherits many strengths and flaws given by the nature of the past. Every incident will make an impact. Filth can be cleansed, every wound can be healed. Nevertheless, a bitter memory will continue to be remembered by the eye, retained by the mind, and even soul. It is not bad if we can remember some of these grievous incidents to make them a "memento" or turn them as a warning for ourselves. Numerous dark scenarios have occurred in various parts of the world. A disturbance that shows the cruelty that can be achieved by humans, the ease of losing lives, infusing and leaving physical and mental wounds. A series of events were hidden to maintain order and sustain the continuity of a system. Get rid of all evidence so that it remains tightly closed behind the facts or even deliberately exposing it to form an impression of "power". Some specific individual or group that has the power to annihilate will not rest until the ambition is fulfilled. In order to achieve this goal, humans who are described as the most "perfect" creatures can do things beyond reason. It is like a perception that has been contaminated and covered by a corrupted will that even has the heart to step over several "cadavers" to achieve its goal. Based on all that, this time I will grant a particular idea derived from the series of events as mentioned previously, and my point of view as an illustrator by providing a visual opinion through an artwork. The output will be slightly nostalgic and different from my previous work. Implementing new energy and distinct impressions, a "method" that I have been considering for a long time. I don't understand why it feels so amazing because as long as I'm working, the excitement seems unusual from earlier. Now, I will share with you a little experience in the processof making Devour – Glorious Endeavor.At first hand, I realized the Devour series became a work that repeated every year and now is the 3rd year for the latest Devour series. In the making this time, I pour a variety of stories and new experiences, by cultivating stronger expectations,apply the gap from the style which I have been practicing all this time, then affix a different storyline than before.“Devour – Glorious Endeavor” is packed with cant differentiation from my previous works, adding a new idea to give a more dimensional impression. That's one of the many reasons why I'm so excited to try this new method. I even really enjoyed the process, although it took a long time and I thought I was missing something very crucial until I experienced technical problems in the process. Maybe excessive expectations are not good if they are not illuminated by sufficient knowledge. Luckily I got enlightenment from a new friend, he who is quite good at this method gives his knowledge willingly and I am very grateful for that.As I mentioned before, my expectations for this work are quite high and maybe a little complicated because I want to try to embed some short motions and then make them feel more dynamic in the small dimensions that I have created. Then suddenly a new problem arose, a technical dilemma that I mentioned earlier. The barrier wall was blocked my path, I was faced with expectations that were not in accordance with cultivation. This finally forced me to stop developing the work further and ended up with only its 3-dimensional forms.I was having a hard time and plagued with disappointment, but I felt I had to get up immediately and accept that this was all a valuable exercise to be able to develop it even further.In the end, I think this work is sufficient to represent my original intention and purpose. Along with acquiring new knowledge, I will try to fulfill the desired transformation to bind perfectly with my expectations. When I reopened my work back in 2012-2015, something came through my mind, and &nbsp;I realized that much of the artwork was influenced by many gores aspects, brutal outcomes, beheadings, and other related impressions. Furthermore, all these things indirectly accompany my journey and process of creating the artwork. Many times passed, and when I started to set aside that certain style, some internal upheaval ensues, between leaving that style or exploring another distinctive theme and attempting a new concept. And approximately about one year ago, my curiosity suddenly appeared. It’s all coming back like a flash of light,suddenly opening up a new insight for me. So I made up my mind, thinking of implementing the forgotten method back and injecting it into a new manifestation by focusing more on the atmosphere, showing a darker-sadistic side, gloom, and adding a sense of despair. Putting a more realistic theme and also a rearrangement of artwork, I'm also exploring and attempting more drawing techniques. All these ink strokes start at nightfall and are accompanied by my own personal tracklist to feed my inner thought and get into the zone that brings me closer to the atmosphere that fits me.
